FIELD: raising sunken objects. SUBSTANCE: method of raising sunken object consists in lowering spliceable rod possessing zero buoyancy from base ship positioned over sunken object by means of raising mechanism; this rod is fixed on base ship in assembling subsequent section; then sectional rod is connected with sunken object by means of grip after which rod is raised, section by section, and fixed on base ship where raised object is also fixed. System for raising sunken object includes base ship - catamaran provided with rod assembled of sections by means of detachable joints. Sectional rod possesses zero buoyancy. System also includes cross- member connected with rod and provided with cargo-gripping device; base ship carries raising mechanism and mechanism for securing sectional rod. In raising sunken ship, drive of raising mechanism is subjected to considerable loads. In lowering the rod, pontoons are secured on its sections which are filled with water in course of lowering the rod. EFFECT: reduction of loads on raising mechanism drive.
