FIELD: electronic, instrumentation, radioelectronic, and mechanical engineering, etc. SUBSTANCE: alloy has in its composition rare-earth elements, iron, boron, and also niobium and tantalum; according to invention, alloy contains sum of light and heavy rare-earth elements; light elements are presented by at least one of rare-earth elements chosen from neodymium, praseodymium group and heavy elements, by at least one element chosen from dysprosium, terbium group. In addition, alloy contains one of elements of 1A group, copper, nickel, aluminium, chromium, as well as fluorine and oxygen, in the following proportion, mass percent: light rare-earth elements - 10-30; heavy rare-earth elements -1-7; fluorine -0.02-0.022; oxygen - 0.01-0.03, boron - 0.5-1.5; tantalum (niobium) - 0.01-0.5; group 1A elements - 0.01-0.5; copper, nickel, aluminium, chromium - 0.5-1.5; iron - the rest. EFFECT: improved magnetic characteristics of permanent magnets. 6 tbl
