FIELD: chemical and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has isolating vacuum retort with two shells, which are interconnected with their throat parts. Outer and inner shells have thinned portions, adapter member and heat-insulating plugs. Thinned portions are positioned above maximum level of medium in retort so that thermal resistor is defined. Adapter member is connected with outer shell of retort through supports. Heat-insulating member plug is inserted into throat so that space is defined between plug and throat inner surface. Method involves connecting shells by electron-beam welding and simultaneously vacuumizing retort in vacuumizer. EFFECT: increased efficiency in storage and transportation of liquid colloid substances and suspensions, simplified retort manufacture method. 2 cl, 2 dwg
