FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and welding, particularly, to production of axially symmetric thin-wall vessels of vessels with variable wall thickness from pipes. Cold-rolled or hot-rolled pipe from low-carbon steels of calm grade is cut to measuring billets. Machining is performed, billet end section is subjected to HDF annealing, this section is squeezed by press or rotary machining. Then neck is made upset with heating of crimped cylindrical section and quenched by water. Or, neck produced by machining from steel 30, 35 is used and it is welded with squeezed billet. Performing annealing reducing stresses, and final mechanical processing with butt and thread sections formation.

EFFECT: higher accuracy and quality of the machined surface of the obtained body.
