FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing patient by means of conversation to invoke positive motivation state with respect to the given procedure. A device is used to measure electric skin resistance. Gauze wick drain wetted with distilled water is endonasally introduced to a patient in prone position. Cuff with electrodes has eye electrode washers placed on endonasally introduced wick drains and occipital electrode washers placed on mastoid processes of temporal bones. Eye electrodes are connected with cathode and occipital ones are connected with anode. Current intensity is selected individually in the interval of 1-4 mA, until pricking in nasal mucosa appears. Pulse frequency is set equal to three times alpha rhythm of 24-36 Hz. Procedure duration is 10-15 min. Electric skin resistance is repeatedly measured. The value being increased by 1 kOm or more in comparison with the background value, full treatment course is applied to a patient daily during 10-12 days. 1.5% etimizol solution is intramuscularly injected at a dose of 3 ml and later on at a dose of 0.1-0.2 g during 5-7 days. EFFECT: prolonged remittance period.
