FIELD: water purification. SUBSTANCE: purification of natural and waste water is achieved through using a crimped cord made of two plane bands of polycaproamide filaments with associated yeast of genus Candida. Such a cord with yeast has an affinity to dissolved and strongly emulsified petroleum products. So the method may be applied to remove the petroleum products from natural reservoirs and also, at the aeration stations, to after-purify the industrial wastes containing from 0.2 to 250 mg/l petroleum products. EFFECT: increased removal of petroleum products.
