FIELD: oil refinery, cracking catalyst production in particular. SUBSTANCE: provides for catalyst to be produced by mixing of U zeolite, clay, water and binder with following moulding, drying and calcination. Aluminum oxide trihydrate is used as binder. Trihydrate is calcined under temperature of 800 - 1100 C for 0.5 - 2 s and treated with nitric acid on the basis of 0.10 - 0.20 moles of HNOHNO2 per mole of AlAl2O3 under temperature of 150 - 180 C for 4 -18 hours. Binder is mixed with zeolite and clay in following mass ratio of binder : zeolite : clay: 1 : (2-10) : (15 - 44). U zeolite of rare-earth, ammonium, hydrogen or ion-exchanging form is used. EFFECT: increased quality of cracking catalyst.
