FIELD: manufacture of engines; methods of processing air, fuel and combustible mixtures. SUBSTANCE: liquid fuel is fed to float chamber where fuel is subjected to action of needle surfaces of chamber and float walls; as a result, molecular bonds of fuel are partially broken. From float chamber, fuel is directed to tubular atomizers made integral with vibrator and fuel is acted on by ultrasonic vibrations generated by vibrator fed with electric current from pulse generator after which metered amount of fuel is mixed with air. Air may be acted on by corona discharge depending on version of make. The device for realization of this method has fuel float chamber with needle surfaces of walls and float, mixing chamber brought in communication with float chamber through tubular atomizers whose walls are provided with holes, control unit connected with pulse generator and drive of engine mode control lever, vibrator made integral with atomizers. The vibrator is made of piezoelectric material. Device may be made in several versions. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 5 cl, 2 dwg
