FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: high frequency ultrasonic oscillations excited in liquid phase of fuel are focused on its upper surface; thanks to it fuel is atomized into finely dispersed aerosol which is mixed with air to form homogeneous fuel-air mixture. proposed method is implemented in carburetor which has air supply line and float chamber. Float chamber, in its turn, has focusing ultrasonic radiator and float connected with fuel feed valve. Air supply line is connected direct to upper portion of float chamber, and float is arranged in chamber so that fuel level is maintained at level of focal plane of ultrasonic radiator. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 2 cl, 1 dwg
