FIELD: antenna-detector components of devices for recording and measuring radiation of microwave ovens, radars, and other microwave radiation sources. SUBSTANCE: microwave detector unit has antenna, modulator, and microwave detector; antenna is made in the form of parabolic mirror whose top carries end of rectangular dielectric cavity with metallized wide walls and dipole whose arms are secured on wide walls of cavity; microwave detector is, essentially, semiconductor microwave diode mounted on wide wall of cavity and connected to it through microwave capacitor electrically connected to it and to other wall, by means of conductor passed through holes made in cavity; p-i-n diode mounted on second wide wall whose outputs are connected to this wide wall on either side of crosswise slit made in it is used as modulator; one of diode leads is connected through microwave capacitor electrically connected to this wide wall and other lead, directly to it; in addition, provision is made for connecting the latter to opposite wide wall by means of conductor passed through second transverse hole in cavity. The p-i-n diode lead connected to microwave capacitor is coupled with modulating input of detector unit and microwave diode lead connected to other microwave capacitor is coupled with detecting output. Detector unit components are built as space-saving single unit dispensing with horn antenna. Detector unit and, consequently, indicator may be made small-sized which is convenient for use in portable or automatic indicators.
