FIELD: geology. SUBSTANCE: process is developed for determination of content of scandium with sufficient accuracy under field conditions. Samples are put into water, stirred, kept during exposure time specified in advance for which correlation coefficient between contents of scandium found by any certified method and mass of thin-grain fraction is maximal. Thin-grained fraction is separated by discharge, its mass is separated by discharge, its mass is determined and content of scandium in rocks of given deposit is found by regression equation or by graph of correlation coupling.
