FIELD: oil and gas production. SUBSTANCE: method includes formation in the bed of bed fluids' and chemical reagent's zone. Prior to have it done, bed conditions of pool are investigated and a chemical reagent is chosen ensuring, under existing bed conditions, formation of thermodynamically stable zone with bed fluids and such thermal properties which provide stable front of filtration- displacement of hydrocarbons with water through reservoir under existing bed conditions. The thus formed zone volume constitutes 5- 20% of bed pore volume. As chemical reagent, methanol-based modifier is used prepared from natural or associated gas by direct air oxidation method. EFFECT: increased oil production. 3 cl, 3 tbl
