FIELD: metallurgy, blanks continuous casting crystallizer design in particular. SUBSTANCE: to increase quality of continuous casting process crystallizer is used, that has body and porous working walls. Working wall from side of ingot coming out of crystallizer has bulges facing axis of crystallizer, between which there are longitudinal gas-carrying out canals. Transversal dimension of cavity between bulges is defined by ratio: O <d <D - (0 < d ≅ D + (ξ12)) with D - transversal dimension of cavity formed by working walls in zone, in which there are no bulges, ξ1 - value of gas clearance, ξ2 - value of ingot shrinkage.
