FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, readjustment of tools for flexible production line systems, machining centers and NC machines. SUBSTANCE: cutter has carrier with body 1 embracing cylindrical shank of cutter head 15 and planar basing end 4 mated with planar end 16 of cutter head 15. Carrier body is provided with cavity open toward inner end 3 of mounting opening 2. This cavity has uniform circle segment-shaped section, with circle center extending through axis 5 of body and circle diameter being equal to that of mounting opening 2. Cylindrical shank is provided with flat portion 18 open toward shank end and coplanar with flat surface 13 of cavity. To attach cutter head, screw 7 is rotated so that its conical end 9 comes into engagement with conical recess 19 of cylindrical shank 17. Force component of screw 7 acts along spindle 5 of body 1 to urge end 16 of cutter head 15 to end of body 4.
