FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: method for roof control in mining coal seams includes extraction of seam by hydraulic method, by sublevels, along the strike in descending manner. Sublevels are prepared by driving the lower and upper paired drift at one side of enclosing rocks and middle drifts at the other side and their interconnection by inclined connections, drift support operations, transportation of broken coal to the lower extraction drift and filling of worked-out space. Drifts are connected by inclined connections in preparation of sublevels and supporting spatial framework is formed by means of filling the lower and upper paired and middle drifts and inclined connections. Then, extraction drifts are worked above the filled drifts, and sublevels are extracted by stopes along the strike. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 dwg
