FIELD: underground coal mining on seams with unstable side rocks. SUBSTANCE: plow complex has plow unit and units of powered support having pressing cantilevers and connected with plow unit by means of base beams. Telescopic roofing contacting with pressing cantilevers is connected with guide beam by means of lever mechanism and with hydraulic prop. Telescopic roofing members are overlapping each other under the pressing cantilevers of support units and made from two parallel longitudinal plates, connected to each other with flexible members. Longitudinal plates are successively installed along the longitudinal axis of telescopic roofing. Telescopic roofing members of adjacent units are connected to each other of lock joints. Lower planes of pressing cantilevers have bevels facing the breakage face to come in contact with longitudinal plates of telescopic roofing. Lock joint may be made for angular displacement of two adjacent roofing members in vertical and horizontal planes, and also their mutual displacement along the longitudinal face to form gaps corresponding to gaps in conveyer flight with consideration of seam hyprometry.
