FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method includes relieving and advancing, with active roof support, of auxiliary support units installed every other unit, and their subsequent extension, and then, relieving and advancing, with active roof support, of the support main units and their subsequent extension. Auxiliary support units are advanced together with extensible parts of cantilevers of upper roofing of main units and with conveyer or base beam as an integral unit over entire length of face. Offered for method realization is powered support for frontal and plough mining complexes and units which include main units connected with face conveyer or base beam by means of rams and arranged between them (every other one) auxiliary units. All support units consist of bases, upper roofings, hydraulic props and guards. Auxiliary support units are articulated to conveyer or base beam, and cantilever parts of their roofings are connected with extensible cantilever parts of roofings of main support units by means of spring portals located square to longitudinal axes of roofings. Located between extensible and fixed cantilever parts of roofings of main support units are flexible curtains whose ends are attached to fixed and extensible parts of roofing.
