SUBSTANCE: method of operation of heat engine comes to preparation of working medium in prechamber provided with nozzle, building up pressure in prechamber, opening bypass service line nozzle between prechamber and working chamber, bypassing working medium through line into working chamber, moving off shifting weight in working chamber with expansion of working medium in process of weight movement. Working medium is bypassed with supersonic of jet, and ratio of pressures of working medium in prechamber and in working chamber should be not less than (2/(k+1)-k/(k-1) K - working medium adiabat index. Heat engine made for implementation of this mthods has prechamber with nozzle, working chamber, weight installed in working chamber for travel, bypass service line in nozzle between prechamber and working chamber, weight step arranged in nozzle, engine automatic control devices, and fuel system. Step is arranged horizontally in nozzle. Mating seat surfaces of step and nozzle are of equal diameters.
