FIELD: biotechnology, medicinal industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves sorption of insulin-containing raw on sulfocationite which is treated preliminary with acetic acid salt solution followed by zinc precipitation and citrate crystallization. Used sulfocationite has grain size 400-600 mcm. Sulfocationite treatment is carried out with 0.15-0.25 M ammonium acetate or sodium acetate solution at pH 7.0-7.3. Sorption is carried out from 0.04-0.06 M ammonium acetate or sodium acetate solution at pH 7.4-7.6. Elution is carried out with 0.10-0.25 M ammonium acetate or sodium acetate solution at pH 6.9-7.1. Method is used for preparing insulin preparations. EFFECT: improved method of purification. 1 tbl
