METHOD OF PREPARING "PENSULIN CP" PREPARATION OF INSULIN SOLUTION FOR CARTRIDGE Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, endocrinology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preparing drug in cartridge for rapid use in the form of porcine insulin used for treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus. Preparation is prepared by mixing three solutions in water for injection containing the following components and mixing is carried out for the definite order: substance of porcine monocomponent insulin, glycerol, 0.2 M hydrochloric acid (to pH 3.0-3.4), nipagin, sodium acetate trihydrate and 0.15 M sodium hydroxide. Then mixture of solutions is filtered and water for injected is added to sterile solution up to final insulin concentration 100 IU/ml followed by the preparation pouring into cartridges. Method provides safety of physical-chemical and biological properties of the preparation in cartridges according to requirements of tenporary pharmacopoeia clause project VFS.
