BALL-GLOBE Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: visual aids for combinatorics and elements of geography. SUBSTANCE: ball-globe has body in the shape of sphere. Sphere is divided by three mutually perpendicular planes into eight equal parts and includes connection element. Parts have pockets in the form of fragments of total pattern of globe mounted for relative movement. Connection element is manufactured in the form of arclike clamps of U-shaped cross-section with tail rib. Annular grooves for accommodation of arc-like clamps preventing disintegration of sphere into component parts are made in each part of sphere along its three curvilinear contours.
