FIELD: digestion of sulfate cellulose. SUBSTANCE: method for automatic control of continuous digestion of sulfate cellulose includes determination of digestion hydraulic modules, measurement of consumption of fixed liquid coming to zone of diffusion washing together with wood, and the result is used for determination of dilution factor; regulation of consumption of cooking liquor withdraw in extraction zone on the base of relation between digestion hydraulic modulus and dilution factor and maintaining it optimal. Productivity of digester is regulated by varying relation between digestion hydraulic modulus and dilution factor so as to maintain constant of mass distribution in height of digester; and bringing over of wood pulp on screens of liquor separation in extraction zone, when pressure differential rises, is prevented by reduction of dilution factor and decreasing of liquor consumption separated in extraction zone at constant digestion hydraulic modulus and degree of density of wood pulp.
