FIELD: vibration measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for protection of rotating machines against vibration, for increase of operational reliability of machines at thermal and atomic power stations. Parameters of vibration are monitored at isolated points of machine and test signal corresponding to permissible level of vibration is formed simultaneously which is fed into monitoring channel providing for indication of its serviceability, of emergence of vibration at any monitored point exceeding specified level, of information signal corresponding to vibration at this monitored point simultaneously with its coming into information channel. Signal for disconnection of machine is formed with operation of both channels. EFFECT: enhanced protection of machine against excessive vibration. 5 cl, 4 dwg
