FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: feeder has rectangular hopper with upper longitudinal combing conveyor, two transverse feeding conveyors. Hermetically sealed variable-volume chamber for collecting exhaust gases produced by tractor and for providing uniform lifting of feed to combing conveyor in lower part of hopper has movable cover, bottom pipeline for supplying exhaust gases, safety valve for regulating gas pressure, gas relieving valve with hydraulic cylinder and bellows-type side walls. Finger guides are positioned in hopper side walls. Cover is connected with bottom through adjustable extension coil springs. Rectangular section chamber walls are composed of a plurality of flexible chambers or plates interconnected through continuous hinges extending along perimeter of chamber. Opposed inner ribs of chamber walls are interconnected by ropes of predetermined length. Conveyors are driven by throttle-controlled hydraulic engines. Gas relieving valve is actuated by hydraulic double-acting cylinder. EFFECT: increased efficiency, wider operational capabilities and enhanced reliability in operation. 7 cl, 8 dwg
