DEVICE TESTING SERVICEABILITY OF ELECTROPNEUMATIC BRAKES OF ROLLING STOCK Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: railway transport. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to testing equipment of railway car shop used for repair and preventive maintenance of rolling stock. Testing of circuit of control over brakes of rolling stock 27 is performed by logic circuit under three situations of braking process: brake release, overlap and brake application. Device includes clock generator 1 of rectangular pulses with relative pulse duration of three seconds - time to fill cavities of one brake cylinder with compressed air, pulse counter 2 with unit 3 of return to zero, commutator 4 of two preselectors, matching unit and power unit 6 with signal light-emitting diodes and measurement instruments. There is provided unit 11 of manual control which button sets circuit of device into operation. Power unit 6 is built on thyristors which makes it possible to combine functions of rectifier and voltage inverter. Portable version of device is easily transported and handled by one operator.
