FIELD: railway transport; automatic control systems of diesel locomotive traction motors; automatic control of DC transmissions. SUBSTANCE: control signal shaping unit has digital-to-analog converter, reference voltage source, two intermediate differential amplifiers, traction generator field voltage controlled amplifier, parking brake on/off signal amplifiers, two time delay relays and four resistive decoupling units. Electric motor duty is set by running-braking switch. Braking position code number is set by master controller. Proposed device requires no mechanical switching devices.
