METHOD OF PREPARING AGENT SHOWING ANTISCLEROTIC AND CHOLAGOGUE ACTIVITY Russian patent published in 1996 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: red clover herb (Trifolium sativum Crome) is extracted with 75-80% ethanol at ratio raw : extractant = 1:(8-12) by eddy extraction method at stirring rate 8000 rev/min for 10 min followed by filtration. Then grist is placed into laboratory reactor with mixer and extracted with 75-80% ethanol three times for 30 min at 75-85 C. Ratio raw : extractant = 1:(8-12). Extracts were combined, filtered and evaporated under vacuum up to complete alcohol removing and cooled. Precipitate of lipophylic substances is separated, filtered and dried. Yield of the end product is 14.5-15.3%. Procedure duration is 5-6 hr. Yield is increased by 4-5-fold as compared with that in prototype. Antisclerotic activity of product is increased by 15-20% and that of cholagogue - by 1.2-fold as compared with standard "Flamin". EFFECT: simplified method, increased yield, enhanced activity.
