FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: mandarin residue are subsequently extracted by water acidified with hydrochloric acid and by calcium hydroxide solution. The former process takes place at 80-90 C and pH 2.8-3.2 within 45-55 min, the latter process takes place at pH 10-11 within 24 h. Both extracts are mixed, desired product being precipitated by ethyl alcohol. Desired product considerably decreases cholesterol level, triglyceride content and tri-β- and b-lipoprotein content in blood, decreases cholesterol level in aorta tissues and in liver.
