FIELD: automatic control, electric drives of mine machines. SUBSTANCE: excavator electric drive has main voltage regulation circuit incorporating voltage regulator and voltage sensor auxiliary current regulation circuit connected to the former circuit and having current regulator and current sensor, and power regulation circuit that has multiplying unit whose output signal is connected to subtracting output of voltage regulator through control switch in case current exceeds specified value. Power feedback controlled by motor current provides for fast-response and accurate motor current limitation and power loss reduction. EFFECT: improved speed of response and reduced power loss. 2 dwg
