FIELD: manufacture of various souvenirs, toys, articles of general consumption, etc. SUBSTANCE: the method, including the making of shavings on the surface and preparation of the surface with subsequent decorative work, consists in waving of shavings and forming of part of the article surface with the aid of it. The method is implemented by means of a device using a drive and a cutting tool. The main front and rear surfaces of the cutting tool are flat and make up an angle of less than 90 deg. between them. The cutting edge formed by the main surfaces is parallel to the surface to be worked. The cutting tool lateral surfaces are made in the form of second-degree surfaces intersecting the cutting edge and main front and rear surfaces.
