FIELD: mechanical engineering; transportation of ferry-bridge crossing machines by rail; development of heavy ferries at increased transverse stability. SUBSTANCE: ferry-bridge crossing machine has transport facility. Located on its deck are side pontoon and opening mechanism for opening side pontoon afloat. Load-bearing beam is located between sides of transport facility and side pontoon and its ends are articulated with them at level of their lower load-bearing strakes. Load-bearing beam is rigidly fixed in open position at level deck and functions as lever of opening mechanism. Ferry-bridge crossing machine is provided with shackle fitted with locking pin. Shackle is connected with load-bearing beam and with sided pontoon over lower load-bearing strake by means of locking pins. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 7 dwg
