FIELD: nuclear power engineering. SUBSTANCE: storage has water cooling pond with slotted closure formed by beams overhanging on opposite walls of water pond whose loose ends form loading opening. Closure is provided with transfer device and stiffening beams arranged along both sides of loading opening and fixed at ends in pond walls; they are also joined with loose ends of overhanging beams. Transfer device mounted on stiffening beams has hinged gear whose boom is above slotted closure of water pond. EFFECT: improved radiation safety of stored spent fuel. 3 dwg
