FIELD: nuclear power engineering, in particular, loading of waste nuclear fuel. SUBSTANCE: method involves locating case, which has holes in its wall, in water pool, loading waste nuclear fuel to case by means of loading unit, and driving case with fuel to storage location. Case has unit for closing holes which are opened before case is located in pool and are closed when case is filled with water. Waste nuclear fuel is loaded to case using closed holes. Then holes are opened again and case is moved to storage location in water pool. EFFECT: increased safety. 6 dwg
