FIELD: hydraulic and pneumatic drives with reverse fluid flows of hydraulically powered machines, such as drain-tube layers, power shovels, etc. SUBSTANCE: cartridge-type reverse filter for hydraulic and pneumatic drives has body, two valve units, filter elements valve units with two check valves, two covers-unions. Installed between each valve unit and filter element are two ring-shaped membranes. Each membrane seals with its internal edge the joint between the external and internal hollows of filter element and touches body internal surface with its external edge. Two safety valves are installed in valve units. Drain header is provided in body wall. Drain header may be made in form of hollow nut accommodating pilot controlled check valve and plug. Body internal surface may be cylindrical. Each membrane may be made of conical washers having four tabs each. Width of tab is larger than the distance between them.
