FIELD: analytical chemistry. SUBSTANCE: sample solution is divided into two portions. To the first one, sodium acetate solution is added followed by measuring optical density of colored solution which value permits one to evaluate paraquinone dioxime content in sample. The second portion of sample is treated with sodium hydroxide solution followed by measuring optical density of solution and thereby estimating summary content of hydroquinone and paraquinone dioxime. EFFECT: achieved quantitative determination of both chemicals in one sample. 1 tbl
