FIELD: acceleration technology. SUBSTANCE: residua gas is ionized by accelerated particles bundle. Electrons being formed during the process are accelerated by transverse electrical field, which has strength being higher than strength of initial field of the bundle. Then spatially restricted bundle is formed of accelerated electrons. Electrons are selected which have energy corresponding to central part of the bundle. Time distribution of the electrons is registered for period of accelerating voltage. phase location and duration of microscopic blobs of structured bundle are judged from time statistical distribution of registered electrons.
