FIELD: acceleration equipment. SUBSTANCE: sensor of lateral distribution of density of beam of accelerated particles has extracting capacitor which plates are arranged on both sides of axis of transportation path of accelerated beam at distances exceeding maximum size of monitored beam. Extracting plate of capacitor has forming slit. Analyzing capacitor is located at angle of 45 deg relative to plane of extracting capacitor and axis of path. Input plate of this capacitor has forming slit coaxial to slit in extracting plate. Plates of extracting and Analyzing capacitors are electrically coupled. Two-coordinate position-sensitive detector is fabricated in the form of electron-optical converter with amplifier on microchannel plates connected to resistive voltage divider. Input of amplifier of microchannel plates is coupled to monitored beam via additional window in input plate of Analyzing capacitor. Registration device fabricated in the form of television camera is optically coupled to output of electron-optical converter via additional windows in plates of extracting capacitor manufactured from grid with high transparency. Optical axis of television camera is perpendicular to plane of extracting capacitor and matches center of electron-optical converter. Gaps between plates of extracting and Analyzing capacitors and distance between forming slit and center of electron-optical converter are tied up by relationships and .
