FIELD: passive radar; estimate of angular position of electromagnetic radiation source in two orthogonal planes. SUBSTANCE: phase direction finder consists of N antenna elements located in one plane, N receivers whose inputs are connected with respective antenna elements, N-1 phasemeters; first and second inputs of each phasemeter are connected to outputs of receivers 1 and i+1, i=1, N-1, ambiguity resolving unit whose inputs are connected with outputs of respective phasemeters, two weight adders connected to outputs of ambiguity resolving unit; their weight coefficients are determined by the following expressions: , , where B-1Φ
