FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves echographically measuring lower uterine segment thickness during the active phase of labor and at the moment the uterus is opened for more than 3 cm when contractions are at their maximum and relaxed. The lower uterine segment thickness increasing in the course of contraction by 0.2 cm and more, the labor is carried on through natural birth paths. Changes in lower uterine segment thickness being not detected and uterine cicatrix being functionally inconsistent, Caesarian section is carried out. When indicated, oxytocyne is to be administered. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of method.
