FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: initially instillation of 0.1 % solution of adrenaline hydrochloride on cornea is carried out, quantity of said solution being 2-3 drops. The process takes place at temperature of eye tissue being equal to 20 ± 2 C. Then duration of period before beginning of mydriasis is determined. If said period is 5 min then cornea is assessed as high viability one, if said period is 5-10 min then cornea is assessed as medium viability one, if said period is 10-15 min then cornea is assessed as cornea with conditional viability. If mydriasis is absent within up to 15 min then cornea is assessed as nonviable. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method.
