FIELD: medical equipment, in particular, devices for sterilization of medical instruments under the effect of radiation. SUBSTANCE: the device has cylindrical casing 1 with a foundation in the form, of ellipses 2, reflecting surface 3, accommodating the radiation source and quartz tube for medical instruments subject to sterilization. Radiation source 4 and quartz tube 5 are located along the axes passing through the ellipse focuses. A source emitting light pulses with a duration of 5 to 20 ms within a spectral band of 200 to 2000 nm is used as the radiation source. The offered device provides for a shadowless irradiation of the entire surface of the instruments subjected to sterilization, and the use of pulsed radiation makes it possible to generate a power short-time pulse acting on the irradiated surface. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency providing for simultaneous sterilization of several instruments, and enhanced economical efficiency in service. 3 dwg
