FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: decreasing of oxygen content in atmospheric air is carried out by compression of atmospheric air to 2-10 atm and by passing said air through polymer membrane. Said membrane is manufactured of hollow fibers on the base of poly-4-methylpentene-1-, thickness of fiber wall is 8-25 μm, its inner diameter being 10-30 μm. Thus treated air is fed to patient through flowmeter, filtering device and wetting device. Proposed device has compressor, gas-distributing element, flowmeter, filtering device, wetting device and mask for breathing which are consequently connected. Parameters of the process are controlled automatically with the help of device having pickup of oxygen concentration at patient. EFFECT: improves efficiency of the method. 1 dwg
