FIELD: equestrian sport horse farming, in particular, special respiratory training methods for trotters supposed for participation in races. SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying gaseous hypoxic mixture at normal atmospheric pressure to horse's respiratory organs in alteration with supplying of normoxic air during reduction time intervals; providing hypoxic training in three cycles, five days each cycle, with daily four hypoxy periods of 5 minutes, each being followed with 5 min interval for reduction by breathing normoxic atmospheric air. First training cycle is conducted at initial oxygen content accepted on the basis of hypoxic test effectuated on horse under training process, second training cycle - at oxygen content in hypoxic gaseous mixture reduced by 1% as compared to initial oxygen content and third training cycle - at oxygen content reduced by 2% as compared to initial value. Initial oxygen content for hypoxic training cycle is taken on the basis of hypoxic test results depending on occurrence of signs of development of tissue hypoxia in horse's organism. Hippodrome trainings combined with hypoxic trainings facilitate increase in trotter capacity. EFFECT: increased efficiency and simplified method. 6 cl, 2 tbl
