FIELD: space engineering; control of motion of space vehicles at interaction with external magnetic field, geometric field in particular. SUBSTANCE: magnetic moment is created by means of on-board magnetic system of space vehicle and then magnetic system is turned about two mutually perpendicular axes of space vehicle, thus creating the required relief moment force stipulated by interaction of vectors of external (geomagnetic) induction and indicated magnetic moment. Device for realization of this method has magnetic system mounted on space vehicle by means of suspension with drives for rotation of magnetic system around mutually perpendicular axes of space vehicle, unit for determination of magnetic moment created by magnetic system, sensors of angular momentum accumulated by actuators, unit for determination of vector of induction of external magnetic field and space vehicle control system connected with above-mentioned unit, drives and sensor via respective channels. According to signals of control system which defines angular position and motion of space vehicle and according to information on present vectors of angular momentum accumulated by actuators and induction of external magnetic field, the rotation drives set magnetic system in suspension in such position that required relief moment force is created. Short-circuited superconducting coil where direct current is circulating may be used as magnetic system; coil is provided with cryogenic subsystem and system of permanent magnets. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 3 dwg
