FIELD: chemistry of polymers. SUBSTANCE: fluoroelastomeric copolymer (FEC) comprises (mole%): 5.2-63.0 vinylidene fluoride (VF) units, 21.5-32.5 hexafluoropropylene and/or perfluorovinyl ether (PFVE) units; 8.0-41.3 ethylene units; 71-34.2 tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) units provided that when the sum of ethylenic and perfluorovinyl units is equal or more than 70 mole%, than such copolymer has sufficiently high molecular weight corresponding to Mooney viscosity of at least 10 ML121(1+10), FEC may contain as PFVE units, perfluoromethyl vinyl ether, and as haxafluoropropylene and/or PEVE units, may contain only perfluoromethylvinyl ether, FEC may further contain monomeric units of iodo-and/or bromoolefin derivatives and/or bromoalkylvinyl ethers in amount of 0.05-2 moles per 100 moles of all other monomeric units. End groups of FEC may further contain iodine and/or bromine atoms. Fluoroelastomeric copolymers are used to form cross- linked FEC by vulcanization in the presence of peroxides or by ionic vulcanization using bisphenol and quaternary phosphonium or ammonium salt.
