FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method to press ingots, that mainly have longitudinal lamination and are made of two placed one into another blanks, outer one of which is made, for example, of more strong material, provides, that ingot is heated, mounted on needle with following pressing through conical die using ingot positioning in container and application of axial compressing effort to ingot butt. Ingot is formed of different size blanks with formation of cavity at one of its butts. During ingot mounting on needle cavity is situated at side of die. Pressing process is exercised at changing speed of deformation, first applying axial compressing effort only to blank made of more strong material with provision of worked materials welding and pressing of pipe made of more strong material. Then joint deformation of blanks is exercised at speed exceeding initial one. EFFECT: improved process. 7 dwg
