FIELD: metallurgy, production of metal bands of smelt by quick cooling. SUBSTANCE: in aggregates for production of metal bands of smelt, liquid metal is fed through hole of crucible bottom, that is shut by stopper or slide bar, in slot of nozzle and through slot of nozzle - on rotating disk. Movable details of stopper or slide bar are often failed, that causes emergency smelt pouring through hole in crucible bottom. The apparatus does not have hole in crucible bottom and for connection of crucible with nozzle uses liquid metal pipeline made in the form of bent U-shaped pipe, one end of which is dipped in crucible to its bottom and another one is connected with nozzle. Absence of hole in crucible bottom allows to avoid smelt leakage in case of liquid metal pipeline break down and after liquid metal pipeline substitution there is possibility to continue band production process in contrast to the case of stopper or sliding bar failure or to the case that liquid metal pipeline is connected to hole in crucible bottom and failed - whole volume of smelt metal leaks out of crucible and casting cycle must be repeated completely. EFFECT: usage of U-shaped liquid metal pipeline increases reliability and productivity of apparatus. 1 dwg
