FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: tool has bottom knife provided with a groove and top knife. Each of the knives is provided with side and middle cutting edges conjugated through respective radii. Each side cutting edge of the bottom knife consists of two portions. The smaller portion is conjugated with the middle cutting edge and the height that is equal to 0.42-0.47 of the groove depth and inclined to a horizontal line at an angle of 88.5°. The greater portion is inclined at an angle of 70-80°. The angle of inclination of the side cutting edges of the bottom knife is equal to 1.4-1.6 of the radii of the conjugation of the top knife.
