FIELD: welding; manufacture of ferrous and non-ferrous metal articles requiring high degree of weld protection. SUBSTANCE: head of torch has lock with cap for fixing electrode by collet and ceramic nozzle. Head has additionally gas shielding attachment secured on ceramic nozzle for arrangement in parallel with surface to be welded. Gas shielding attachment is made in form of body accommodating gas feed pipe and gauze. Collet has coaxial holes to feed gas to welding zone through pack of shielding gauzes installed in ceramic nozzle, and coaxial channels on threaded portion in place of attachment with cap to blow gas to welding zone through cap, union, gas feed pipe and gas shielding attachment.
