METHOD TO TREAT SCOLIOSIS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method is based upon manual therapy technique. Patient is put on his side corresponding to concave scoliosis side at bent upper leg in knee-joint and hip-joint a foot being at the level of knee-joint of lower straightened leg. During patient's expiration his elbow is simultaneously moved backward by doctor's elbow-joint pressing upon corresponding gluteal area onward by palm hypothenar and pressing also by doctor's knee downward and caudally upon popliteal fossa of patient's bent leg. EFFECT: improved results at treating scoliosis at different deformations, especially in ilial-sacral symphysis area.
